Ontray has officially released a new receipt printer powered by Eatabit.com to help restaurant better manage their online orders. The receipt printer uses a cellular connection to always stay connected to your Ontray store. As orders come in, the receipt printer will start making noises and flashing until the ‘Print’ button is clicked at which point the order will printer. Best of all, the printer works seamlessly with the rest of the Ontray system so when an order is printed, a signal is sent to Ontray that confirms the order (just like how our tablet application works).
This integration is part of Ontray’s plan to bring the power of online ordering back to the restaurant industry. Ontray continues to aggressively build out its available integrations to allow restaurants and restaurant delivery services to use the technologies they want when processing orders online.

What can the receipt printer do?
Ontray’s receipt printers are able to do a lot more than just print an order though they’re great at that too. Here is a quick overview of the feature set but a full list, as well as configuration options, can be found on our help site.
- Confirm Orders in Ontray (on successful print)
- Double Print Orders
- Reprint Orders
- Connect the time on the printer to the prep times customers see on your Ontray site
- Makes Noises until Order is Printed
- Flashes Blue until Order is Printed
What’s greatest about this printer is how easy it is to get started, simply plug it into the wall and you’re good to go! Really, that’s it, no need to fuss with wifi, login to anything etc. just plug it in and go.
